OLEV is an Italian brand (from Vicenza, Veneto) founded in 2014 by Andrea Lanaro, who followed on the path of his family business with over 50 years of experience in the lighting industry. The company chose to work exclusively with LED light, and dedicate itself to the research, the analysis, and the application of this new technology with special attention to its numerous characteristics and benefits. OLEV was the first brand to present a catalogue of designer lamps exclusively equipped with LED technology, suitable for any kind of interior - professional or residential. Marc Sadler’s art direction reaffirms the company’s purpose of focusing on high quality, consolidating its position and even spreading outside the national borders. OLEV’s art direction is now in the capable hands of Marc Sadler. The winner of 4 Compasso d’Oro Awards signed the brand new designer LED lamps collection, which will be presented at Euroluce,
Sadler has a background in the sports domain, where the research of the materials is extremely important and the control of the manufacturing processes is a key asset. This experience allowed him to translate a precise industrial approach and extensive technical expertise into different areas, where design is traditionally more oriented towards the attention to shapes. Sadler’s involvement actually went beyond the mere creative intervention and spread to the entire manufacturing organization. From the design of the products to the design of the process, to achieve modular components and optimize the production, with a view to the rationalization of the collections and greater coherence in the offer, to support the international brand positioning. The result of Sadler’s work will be unveiled at Euroluce 2019: 4 new product families, more than 70 lighting fixtures.
FLAMINGO design Marc Sadler, 2019 LED swing lamp with minimal design. The original shape of its faceted head defines its strong and graphic character. Consisting of three elements - a head, a stem, and the arm - Flamingo is made entirely of carbon fibre, to grant the highest durability over time. The swing arm moving through a range of 120° on the vertical axis and the head rotating up to 175° allow to adjust the light beam according to the specific requirements of any environment. The honeycomb louver controls glare and ensures the utmost visual comfort. Available in two versions - floor lamp with Titanium finish (h 150 cm) and table lamp with Bronze finish (h 70 cm).
