Natuzzi unveils Ergo, designed by Ross Lovegrove

This year Natuzzi celebrates 60 years of design by going back to its roots and to Puglia, where Pasquale Natuzzi began his long journey into the world of furniture in 1959. Today, the brand launches a new concept of living inspired by its homeland (Puglia - Italy) Presented at Salone del Mobile this year, Ergo is a new collection designed for the bedroom area by Ross Lovegrove in his first collaboration with Natuzzi.

Ergo uses responsibly-sourced and renewable materials including wood from sustainably-managed forests adhering to strict environmental, social and economic standards, organic fibres, 100% natural latex, solvent-free glues and recyclable metals such as aluminium.

Ross Lovegrove has compiled a study on organic design, the relationship between materials and function as well as between the manufactured objects and their ability to respect the world surrounding them. Ergoembodies the love for nature in a renewed approach to sustainability, keeping the environmental impact to a minimum, in terms of both choice of materials and energy consumption.

Ergo includes a bed, chaise-longue, chandelier, valet stand, lamp, carpet and mirror made without the use of lead-based paints. Each element draws on the surfaces and motifs of nature, and is designed to be the perfect companion for everyday living.
