TON at Wallpaper Handmade exhibition

Handmade is Wallpaper’s most proudly ambitious annual project – the creation of a groundbreaking exhibition and a special edition of the magazine, dedicated to the marriage of craftsmanship and design through the essence of customisation. Acting as patron and creative director, Wallpaper* cherry-picks a selection of some of the world’s finest artists, craftsmen, makers and manufacturers, commissioning unique and one-off luxury items of furniture, fittings, food stuffs, fashions and much more.

This year's Wallpaper * Handmade exhibition is a quest for mental and corporal wellbeing, the long and winding journey towards a better you. With 'Wellness & Wonder', expect objects that cult the self-improvement, exercise the cerebellum, replenish the body, jet-wash the life force and restore the inherent harmony of the individual.

TON will participate with collection called 'Fruit altars' designed by Gabriel Tan Studio. Inspiration for the shapes of this collection is based on the handmade wood bending technology which has been in use in Bystřice pod Hostýnem since 1861. This specific production process offers a new possibilities for working with wood, but it also has its own limits in the terms of curves.
