Stickbulb Ambassador at Collective Design Fair in New York City
Ambassador is made from three centuries old redwood reclaimed from a New York City watertower. It is on exhibit through Sunday at Collective Design Fair in NYC
Both a large scale sculpture and optical illusion, Ambassador re-adapts 300 year old redwood reclaimed from New York City watertowers into a giant half moon of ethereal light. Inspired by John Steinbeck's 1960's travelogue "Travels with Charley", the form and scale are intended to reflect the majesty and mystery of the worlds largest and most ancient trees, Sequoia Sempervirens.
