ROUTER, a device that connects us all to the internet. The place where we exist in data. Data runs along paths, routes, and journeys and is transformed into new meaning by analytics. Give back the story of the data in a beautiful form! That’s where generative design comes in.
ROUTER, a stroll through Antwerp's street network to discover the exhibition at four unique locations in Antwerp's city center: Het Steen, City Hall, Sapphire House and Fiera.
Flora Miranda is a visual artist and fashion designer based in Antwerp and Vienna. After graduating with a masters degree at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, she freelanced for Iris Van Herpen. Since 2018, she has presented her creations during Haute Couture Week in Paris. In 2017 she founded ‘IT Pieces’, a format that helps companies communicate and visualise their data. The data is transformed into storytelling through textiles, garments, animations, web interfaces - all based on a custom generative design system.
Miranda’s work is strongly picked up by the international art world, leading to exhibition participations (HEK Basel, MAK Vienna, PDC Los Angeles), museum purchases (MKG Hamburg) and awards (Good Design Award).
